From Model to Meaning

When a newly integrated biomarker and pharmacology unit launched its Target Operating Model, clarity did not come for free. On paper it worked, but people struggled to see where they fit, especially with clinical standards still setting the pace.

So we cracked the model open.

We ran design-thinking sessions with teams across operations, science, and bioanalytics, translating structure into something human. Roles were mapped, personas brought to life, and expectations made explicit, helping people understand not just the shape of the organisation, but their place within it.

To make the change stick, we wrapped the model in a practical digital layer. A microsite, a playbook, and a clear, consistent voice gave teams a way to navigate the new world from day one, with capabilities, ways of working, and decision points clearly signposted.

The result was an operating model people could actually work with, not just work around.
